Reaching and a Giveaway
Reaching. That’s what I’m dreaming about for 2017. Reaching up…to the open hand of Jesus and following Him. Reaching in…to the identity He has marked me with. Reaching forward…to those who have gone before me. Reaching back…to the ones who are coming behind me.
This is discipleship in a nutshell! Reaching up, reaching in, reaching forward, and reaching back
Where are you reaching? Whose hands are in yours on this journey?
"God has an affinity for lengthening cords and extending boundaries with a person willing to be stretched by Him," (Beth Moore, Children of the Day).
It’s so hugely significant, my friend, that Jesus reaches out His hand and looks straight into us, calling, “Come, follow me.” He’s telling us that He wants us, that He’s confident that we can be like Him, and that He trusts that we can go on and make more disciples, too!! It's such a gift to get to follow Jesus! My heart is just bubbling over about this, and I’ll be sharing a lot of what I’ve been learning about this here in the coming weeks.
But for now, as we take our first steps into this new year, I’ve teamed up with some beautiful women and put together a *giveaway* on Instagram with a bundle of resources to help you to stretch your arms and REACH.

If you don't have Instagram, I would encourage you to consider giving it a try. There are so many encouraging and inspiring people talking about God's Word and sharing their hearts and their journeys. It's where I do the bulk of my writing these days, because it allows me to do "micro blogging"...which really just means short, digestible, easy-to-read-on-the-go posts. I'd so love to have you along over there!
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith,” (Hebrews 12:1-2).
